Headed in for day one of jury duty, and I’m armed with a book, four magazines, a Nintendo DS and crossword puzzles. What? I get bored easily. Think I’ll be OK?
Also, say a little prayer that this is the only day I have to serve. My coworker went to Paris to run a marathon over a week ago (yeah, he’s one of those people who can run marathons in under three hours) and is stuck there til Friday, provided planes start flying then. So I still have a crapton of work to do on top of all of this.
Funny thing I noticed when checking out both the the Post and Times sites right after the anouncement: The Post reported that they won 4 and the Times won 2. And the Times reported that they won 3 and the Post won 4. Hmmm…
Well… at least Hank Williams won one…
The third one the Times won was a piece by reporters from ProPublica and the Philadelphia Daily News with help from the NYTimes Mag.
From the Pulitzer site:
Investigative Reporting - Barbara Laker and Wendy Ruderman of the Philadelphia Daily Newsand Sheri Fink of ProPublica, in collaboration with The New York Times Magazine
The first Post alert actually claimed five because a former editor won a Pulitzer for his book.
