I spent yesterday with family at the Monroe County Fair and it was the best day.
I’ve been thinking a lot about moving back to the Midwest - Ann Arbor or Chicago - and this trip in particular has instigated a one-year plan to attempt to make that happen. I love my job, but there’s so much more that I want - my own family; the ability to physically help my mom out instead of feeling completely helpless on the other end of the phone; more time spent with the family I love so much; to not feel like I’m living paycheck to paycheck because nearly half my paycheck goes to rent… so many things. I love D.C. and aspects of my life here, but I think I’m ready to move on.
